Arsene advised BMO Real Estate Partners in the final steps of the acquisition of luxury retail space on 50 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in the 8th arrondissement in Paris for its Pan-European real estate investment fund
Total retail space is nearly 1,000 square meters and was fully renovated in 2012. The transaction, both a sale and a leaseback, was signed on the basis of initial net return of 3.4%. The total amount of the transaction was not made public. Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, located near the famous Avenue des Champs Elysées, is one of the most sought-after streets in the French capital. Many major luxury brands have retail space on the street, including Ermenegildo Zegna.
François Lugand, Associate, and Driss Tof, Attorney, advised BMO REP on tax issues for Arsene.
The off-exchange transaction was sourced by Draco Partners. BMO REP was also advised by Lasaygues and King & Spalding. The vendor was advised by Wargny-Katz and Degroux Brugere.
