Dear Madam,
Dear Sir,
We are pleased to invite you to a unique event – on 8 June 2022 at the Hotel Lutetia in Paris (opening at 5 pm, presentation at 5.30 pm) – which will take the form of a cocktail-debate on the current international tax landscape, in the light of recent geopolitical and economic upheavals.
This event will be an opportunity to examine the impact of the current crises on the ongoing tax “revolutions” (notably the global minimum tax project, taxation of the digital sector and the BEPS plan), in connection with the recent elections in France and Germany. This new angle invites us to reconsider the latest developments in national and European legislation and jurisprudence to complete the tax panorama that multinational companies are facing.
To discuss the issues at stake in this new international tax context, we suggest shedding light on the following topics, through a perspective combining the main economic players in Europe (France and Germany):
- (R)evolutions, crises, elections – the multiple challenges of shaping the new international tax order: (geo)political news following the elections
- Issues of the post-election program (France – Germany / Europe)
- Economic and tax implications of current crises (Covid, Ukraine)
- A new tax order with OECD’s Pillar 1 & 2 ?
- Adapting to a constantly moving tax environment: a French-German perspective of current case law and tax legislation
- Global mobility in the post-Covid world
- The evolution of the notion of beneficial ownership
- The penalization of tax law
- Conclusion : What’s next?
During this meeting, the debates will be moderated – in English – by a panel of partners from Taxand network, coming from Arsene (France) and Flick Gocke Schaumburg (Germany), who will share their views on the current developments.
We would be delighted to welcome you to the Salon Cristal of the Hotel Lutetia to take part in this exciting discussion, which will be followed by a flying dinner.
We look forward to seeing you there!
